Medication Aide Program

​DESCRIPTION:

The Medication Aide Program is a training program that prepares healthcare professionals to assist in administering medications safely and effectively. It covers topics such as pharmacology, dosage calculations, medication administration routes, storage, and documentation. Participants learn legal and ethical considerations, medication safety protocols, and infection control practices.

 

The program includes classroom lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and practical exercises. Upon completion, participants can take an exam or obtain certification to work under the supervision of licensed nurses. Medication aides play a crucial role in enhancing patient safety and improving medication administration efficiency. They support nurses and healthcare professionals, expanding career opportunities in various healthcare settings.

-DAY: 12 WEEKS: Wednesday

-EVENING: 12 WEEKS: Wednesday

-WEEKEND: 14 WEEKS: (Saturday & Sunday)

Program Times:

-Day: 9am - 1pm

-Evening:5pm - 9pm

-Weekend: 9am - 2:30pm
